Kathryn Maiorano, MS, CCC-SLP, TSSLD is a New York State licensed speech-language pathologist with a Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) granted by the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA). She also holds a New York State Certificate for Teaching Students with Speech-Language Disabilities (TSSLD). Kathryn earned both her Bachelor of Arts and Master of Science in Speech-Language Pathology from Loyola University.
Kathryn provides individualized and comprehensive services for children from 18 months through adolescence. She has extensive experience supporting students with a wide range of needs, including receptive and expressive language delays, articulation and speech-sound disorders, language-based learning disabilities, Autism Spectrum Disorder, Attention Deficit Disorder, and pragmatic language disorders. She works closely with families, caregivers, and teachers to strengthen communication skills and support children’s academic, personal, and social growth.
Early in her career, Kathryn worked in private practice providing therapy to toddlers and preschoolers. She later served in public schools, delivering both individual and group services to students from kindergarten through high school, including children with diverse and multiple disabilities. In all settings, Kathryn has collaborated with families and professionals to provide effective treatment, while counseling and advising on communication strategies.
In addition to her professional experience, Kathryn has pursued advanced trainings to expand her expertise. She is PROMPT (Prompts for Restructuring Oral Muscular Phonetic Targets) Level 1 trained, equipping her with specialized techniques to support children with motor speech disorders. She has also completed extensive coursework on the Orton-Gillingham method and is trained in Fundations®, both of which enhance her ability to support children with reading, spelling, and language-based learning challenges.
Kathryn is dedicated to ongoing professional growth and uses evidence-based practices tailored to each child’s unique strengths and needs. Her warm, collaborative approach empowers families and helps children develop the communication and literacy skills they need to thrive at home, in school, and in their communities.
Cristina Petti, MS, CCC-SLP, TSSLD is a New York State licensed speech-language pathologist with a Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA) and a New York State Certificate for Teaching Students with Speech-Language Disabilities (TSSLD). She earned her Bachelor’s in Cognitive Science from the University of Delaware and her Master’s in Communication Disorders from Mercy College. Cristina has specialized training in evidence-based literacy and communication approaches, including Orton-Gillingham and PROMPT, which allow her to support children with a wide range of communication and language needs.
Cristina has worked with children across all ages and abilities, from toddlers through adolescents, in diverse settings including public and private schools, clinical environments, and private practices. She provides individualized and group therapy for speech sound disorders, receptive and expressive language delays, Autism Spectrum Disorder, language-based learning disabilities, social-pragmatic challenges, and feeding/swallowing difficulties. She also supports neurodiverse learners, including students who use AAC devices and gestalt language processors, helping them develop meaningful, functional communication skills.
As a neurodiversity-affirming clinician, Cristina values each child’s unique strengths and communication style. She is dedicated to creating a supportive, engaging environment where differences are respected, and children feel empowered to express themselves authentically.
